Introduction
Miniconomy has been in existence since 2001 and since then several tens of thousands of participants, mainly young people, have registered. Miniconomy is an educational and interactive game with real players in which an economy is simulated. Because Miniconomy is not only fun, but also educational, it is possible to play for free in class! This is possible for the lessons economics and Management & Organization, but also for subjects such as Dutch and social studies.
Student accounts
The educational adjustments make it possible to play Miniconomy with a group of participants, for example a class of students. The participants will simply participate in the regular game. The students are not recognizable as such in the game and are therefore simply part of the group of traders. However, student accounts will not be given the opportunity to engage in criminal activity from an educational perspective.
The group leader can follow his or her class closely. Depending on the need for information and control, the teacher can follow the actions of the students and, if necessary, direct or encourage them. The group leader can have access to the student's extensive balance sheet and income statement.
The group leader also receives a Miniconomy account, with which he or she can take a look at the world called Miniconomy and perhaps act or compete with the students.
